when harry met board games Review

Thanks To When Harry Met Boardgames for their review of Attack of the Intergalactic Gherkins - see below and be sure to check out their Instagram for more great reviews.

Description: This is a card game for 2-6 players ages 7 and up and plays between 15-45 minutes depending on the player count.

Objective: Be the first player to collect 4 Ship Part Cards from the different planets and then travel to the Sun.

Mechanisms: This game features hand management, some take that and the occasional event (gherkins attack) shuffled into the deck. The most important cards to play are your movement cards as they are the heart of the game and allow you to move around the different planets and pick up the parts you need for your ship.

Strengths: This game is very easy to learn and I would even recommend it for a 5 and 6 year old as long as they know how to read.

Weaknesses: This game features a healthy amount of 'take that' so if that is not your cup of tea you should consider that.

Who is this game for: If you are looking for a light-hearted game with a silly space theme to play casually with your friends or with your children this is a game you might want to consider.
